Overall Rating

We thought long and hard before we created our Overall 5 Star system, which incorporates five different ratings. It’s very difficult to pin down a restaurant into a single Star rating. Instead, we rate on five separate categories: Food, Ambience, Service, Love, and Value. Each restaurant can earn up to five stars in each category. Then we average the scores across the five categories to come up with an Overall Star Rating. The highest possible Overall Rating is 5 Stars, but no one has earned it. (Yet.)

Gerard’s produces wonderful food. The restaurant is immaculately clean, down to the corners of the windows. They have just the right linens and polish the silver carefully.
