    Aloha,
I absolutely loved this article! We try to read everything ‘Maui’ between trips. We believe that helps us maintain our sanity and definitely reduce the likehood of developing PPSD!
We have been traveling to Maui since 1983 and wish we had the ‘wear with all’ to make it our permanent residence. Unaffordable, so we chose Florida…..no lush green mountains, sadly lacking in that unique ambiance that is exclusively Maui’s, and we won’t discuss the restaurants in Central Florida…except for the local Thai House! It’s a joy to eat there. Food is very good, decor typical Thai, and the service is excellent!
Arriving in Maui 2 weeks from today (1/20)! Bags aren’t packed yet, but clothes are in standby mode….LOL
Can’t wait to try some of the new restaurants recommended in your new book.

PPSD effects not just knooks. The very same condition has had devastating effects on my wife and I for over a year here in Illinois. Until now our symptoms were attributed to professional football (but our situation is much worse than cronic daBears depression). Finally, the true malaise has been properly identified!

In our case, the condition, which began on our flight home from Maui, is aggravated by PGDS (Post Grandchild Departure Syndrome), which strikes many just after the holidays.

Unfortunately, once PPSD is contracted preventative measures including keeping a copy of TMR in our parkas, and leaving the blog site turned on at night, only help to reduce the side-effects. One home remedy we find works – planning our nest culinary crawl across Maui.

Thanks for identifying and mapping out treatment for PPSD!

Dwight Koop, PPSD sufferer, Saint Charles, Illinois.

Hilarious! I am quite sure I have a severe case and I think I may have to join the Canadians in a lawsuit, lol!
