Nikki’s Pizza
Nikki’s Pizza is one of the few places in Ka’anapali with good food priced proportionally. Pizzas are made to order (you can also get slices), there are enormous sandwiches and heroes, and pretty good shave ice (a little icy, but the best option if you’re not driving down to Lahaina to try Ululani’s).
Nikki’s has carried us through several forgot-it’s-lunchtime blood sugar crises. We like the Greek salad, which is fresh and crisp, and we like the calzones and the wraps.
The food court location is less than glamorous, but it is air conditioned. You can also sit outside, or, of course, get your food to go and eat it at your condo or on the beach.

For those of us resort-bound without a car on Ka’anapali Beach, there are loads of average hotel restaurants at moderate to very high prices available. You can take the shuttle down to Lahaina Cannery and get some bags of groceries for your condo kitchen or hotel room with a mini fridge and microwave.
Or, you can truck on down to Whaler’s Village, bypass the 3 so-so and pricey big name eateries and make a bee-line downstairs to Nikki’s Pizza in the WV Food Court. As far as ambience, the place is clean, it’s indoors from the sporadic liquid sunshine and there’s plenty of picnic table type seating. But you’re not here for the ambience.
The owner, Artie, is usually on site, and the current 8 a.m. opening and 8 p.m. closing means you can load up on 3 squares per day at what I would consider inexpensive/bargain prices. Huge, succulent gyros, %7.95, are absolutely packed with well-seasoned shavings of lamb-beef. Local favorites like Loco Moco are tasty and super filling, and the pizza, panini, huge calzones, mahi mahi and chicken wraps, better than average pasta offerings and ono pork ribs can all be recommended.
Another plus? You can order anything on the menu, at any time Nikki’s is open, extra nice for those of us struggling with jet lag…and thinking it is time for a late lunch/early dinner at 9 a.m.!
Smoothies and shave ice are very good and we went absolutely wild for Maui’s own premium ice cream and sorbet, Roselani’s. It’s a toss up between the chocolate mac nut and haupia for me, but the sorbets are equal parts fruity fantastic and refreshing.
Yes, we did have a couple splurge meals at the fancier spots, and gave our own hotel several chances to impress, but the place we came back to again and again, (besides Ululani’s Shave Ice in Lahaina Town, but that’s another review), was Nikki’s Pizza, where your tourist/kamaiana dollars stretch a lot farther and your taste buds will thank you.

We were within walking distance of Nikki’s Pizza. We thought it was a nice choice for a lighter meal one evening but the food was so good we went back several times! Nestled in a lower level cafeteria, there’s not much they can’t cook. The pizza by the slice is good, but my wife and I’s favorite was the Hawaiian panini. It’s not made quite like the paninis back home but very delicious! I would also recommend their breakfast omelets. Most of our visits we were served by Nikki himself I assume. Very pleasant to deal with, always had a smile, even asked how we liked our food from the night before. Another of his employees was great as well, courteous and always had a smile. Do yourself a favor and try Nikki’s when your on Maui, it’s fantastic.
