New iPhone 5 Is Best for Photos of Food
It’s almost-official: according to Tech Crunch, Verizon is refusing all employee vacation requests from 9/21 to 9/30, which almost certainly means Verizon’s higher-ups have been notified that the new iPhone 5 will be released on September 21.
This is excellent news for me, because I’ve been waiting for years to get a new iPhone. My 3GS just isn’t cutting it anymore: it takes horrible pictures of food. This really cramps my style when I’m out and about, because I rely on my food pictures snapped with my iPhone to prompt me about what to blog about later.
As it turns out, Apple has recognized how much foodies value their iPhones. So much so, they created an entire video campaign on the topic. It’s like the new iPhone was designed just for me. Watch their video above and to the right: you can pop it out to full screen for the full effect.
It’s like the folks at Apple have been eavesdropping on my most private foodie fantasies.
And readers, more good news: after September 21, when you subscribe to the updates to our 2012 edition of Top Maui Restaurants, you’ll get your updates, illustrated with great photos!
To get the update email, pick up a copy of Top Maui Restaurants 2012 and follow the instructions inside. If you’ve already subscribed for updates to the 2012 edition, request the latest update email by using the contact form and ask my customer support team to send it along.
Bon appetit!

I previously purchased “Top Maui Restaurants” and use it as my food bible on each returning trip to Maui. Please tell me how I can receive all the latest updates.
Thank You.

Hi Nancy! So glad to hear Top Maui Restaurants has been helpful. The 2012 edition is the update for all previous editions of the book. And the instructions for getting an email with updates to THAT edition are inside the book. If you already have the 2012 edition, and have already followed the instructions to get the update email, just email customer support and ask for the latest version of that email. Enjoy your new edition!
