Iron Chef Morimoto to Open Restaurant at Andaz

In keeping with its objective of providing a world-class visitor experience in a boutique-like resort while embracing the local environment, Andaz Maui at Wailea has announced that Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto will head Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort and Spa’s master piece restaurant, Morimoto Maui. This will be Morimoto’s second restaurant in Hawaii, following in the footsteps of his highly successful restaurant in Waikiki.

Chef Morimoto is known as the star of Food Network’s Iron Chef, after having earned countless accolades for his inspired fusion of Japanese and local ingredients through all his worldwide ventures – from the Taj Majal, to NYC, to his first endeavors in Philadelphia. With his unique culinary perspective, one can rest assured Chef Morimoto will take advantage of Maui’s bountiful of ingredients: fresh fish, local vegetables and fruits, farm-raised cattle, all prepared under Morimoto’s innovative Japanese techniques and laser-like precision.
