Maui Farm Tour: Kapalua Farms

Kapalua Farms, which provides fresh and organic produce to Pineapple Grill, Plantation House Restaurant, Honolua Store & Deli, Café Kapalua and Merriman’s has opened up their farm for tours, starting July 7, 2009.

Kapalua Farms just started offering a Farm Tour - introductory Ticket Prices: $55 Including Lunch

The three hour tour starts with a visit to the organic pineapple fields, where you can pick your own pineapple to take home. Then you’ll visit the farm itself, a 15 acre spread that grows tomatoes, herbs, lettuce, radishes, leeks, beets, and white figs, as well as lychees. After tasting the produce and drinking plenty of water, lunch is catered by the farm’s kitchen.

Tours are offered Tuesdays and Thursdays and start at 10am. Tour runs three hours. Special introductory price for the tour is $55 for adults, $45 for kama’aina and children age 2-11. Includes lunch and bottled water.

Tour starts at Kapalua Resort Center, the corner of Office and Village Roads. Look for the Maui Gold Pineapple tour van.
