Movies Under the Stars in Paia

Johnny B’s in Paia, in addition to having blessed us with very nice locally-sourced burgers and sumptuous milkshakes, is showing family movies on the lawn behind their restaurant every Friday (or sometimes Saturday) night at dusk. Last night’s film was Up!, and while we couldn’t attend, we thought it was a very nice way to spend an evening: munching on delicious All-American fare, listening to the waves crash and taking in a free movie. The kind of summery night we had as kids in the backyard, only with volcano fries and some of the best burgers we’ve had in a long time.

And their lilikoi milkshake — available whenever the vine on their property is going off (as it was today)– is delicious.
