Watch the “Ingredients” Movie on the Beach at Pacific’O’s in Lahaina
Are you kidding me? This sounds like a fantastic event. If we weren’t going to be off-island on November 20, we’d be there … early, to make sure we get a taste every one of Chef James’ pupus. His crudo is excellent, and his martinis are both strong and lusciously drinkable. And there’s a movie, too?
Besides being a hard-working and talented chef, Chef James is dedicated to serving local food (witness his certified organic farm, O’O). This and his amazing seaside Pacific’O location in Lahaina makes him the logical choice for hosting this movies-under-the-stars swankfest. The film Ingredients is an informative and passionate exploration of the local food movement–which is alive and well on Maui, and growing in its influence. Director Robert Bates will be on hand for a Q&A.
Tickets are $50, seating is limited, and Pacific’O is giving a portion of the night’s proceeds to the filmmakers to help fund their next film: Hawaii Ingredients.
