Cafe Marc Aurel in Wailuku closed on Saturday, May 15, 2010. The Wailuku Coffee Shop (same owners) will open in early June for daytime hours.
Last Saturday, May 15, 2010, was the last night of business for Wailuku’s Cafe Marc Aurel. The hip/hippie wine bar is closed for good.
Sad news. But the word is that the same hui – which means collective or group in Hawaiian – is opening a new coffee shop in the exact same location on June 1. They won’t be doing the wine bar thing, but they’ll be serving salads, sandwiches, soups and pastries by day.
