Slack Key Guitar Festival on Lana’i
There are two resorts on the island of Lana’i, and both are Four Seasons. Manele Bay is set above the breathtaking Hulopo’e Bay, and the Lodge at Koele is a gracious mountain retreat. With apologies to the folks at Disney, Lana’i is our happiest place on earth.

The Lana’i Slack Key Festival 2012: August 17, 18, & 19
We went to last year’s festival, and had an absolute blast. The musicians are the cream of the crop, and they attract locals from all over the islands to this sweet little jewel of an island. If you can make it, go: and kama’aina, the rates are usually especially attractive!
The Festival is free and the events take place in many locations on the island. This makes everyone very, very happy. Book your stay for the weekend of August 17-19 to ensure you are there when the music is playing!
