Whole Foods Kahului turns two in a couple of weeks, and they’re throwing a huge bash. To help celebrate, James and I are joining them for a book signing on Saturday, February 25th. We’re also holding a contest, and the prize is dinner for two (you and a guest) with us at one of our favorite Maui restaurants. As Ram Dass, my friend and sometimes-decadent-dining partner says, “Oh, yummy, yummy!”
You don’t have to be present or buy anything in order to win — you just have to register on this page.
You can also register in person at our book signing, by stopping by Whole Foods Kahului from 10am to 12pm on Saturday February 25. We’ll have entries there, and we’ll do the drawing — from ALL entries — at noon that day. We’re really looking forward to it.
Seeing our shining faces isn’t the only thing you have to look forward to during their big birthday bash … here are some of the other things you can look forward to that weekend.
Birthday Events at Whole Foods Kahului
First of all, there’s a huge Buy One Get One sale going on all weekend long. This is the weekend to stock up.
Friday, Feb. 24th at noon stop by for a slice of birthday cake all lit up with pretty candles.
Saturday, Feb. 25th from 11am to 3pm every department in the joint will showcase their favorite Maui grown and produced items. Come hungry, because there will be lots of samples. (And don’t forget to stop by our table from 10am-12pm — apparently our book is included in the “favorite Maui-grown item” category!)
Sunday, Feb. 26th at 4pm there’s a free screening of the award-winning, made-on Maui-film, Turning the Canoe. This feature-length documentary about creating a sustainable future for our unique and fragile island won the Audience Award at the Maui Film Festival.
