Pineapple Grill’s Chris Kaiwi Introduces Maui’s Top Young Chefs

This video was taken at the Pineapple Grill during the Kapalua Wine & Food Festival on June 11, 2009.

Pineapple Grill’s vice president and managing partner Chris Kaiwi introduces the chefs. These chefs were named  top young chefs by Hawaii Hospitality (a trade association magazine).

They are: Ben Klein of Mala Ocean Tavern, Ryan Urig of The Banyan Tree at the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, Ryan Luckey of The Pineapple Grill and Rich Hinojosa of Tropica at The Westin Maui.

Winemakers Andy Peay of Peay Vineyard & Winery and Luc Morlet of Morlet Family Vineyards also participated in the dinner and showcased a number of their wines including a wonderful pink champagne (entirely from pinot noir grapes) by Morlet which you can see in the video.
