Seawatch Reopens Tonight Under New Management: Bev Gannon!
Bev Gannon of Hali’imaile General Store and Joe’s Bar & Grill has taken over the Seawatch in Wailea, and the new restaurant opens today. We haven’t had time to compare new and old menus closely, but it looks like many of the Seawatch recipes are still in evidence, for example the Crab Benedict on the breakfast menu.
We’ll post pics and our thoughts when we get a chance to dine there, but in the meantime, if you check out the new digs, let us know what you think.
One thing will not change: the restaurant will still have those jaw-dropping views of Molokini and the horizon.
Post your reviews on the Seawatch page.

We were excited to hear that Gannon had taken over Seawatch, which has always been a favourite restaurant choice for us. However, when we called to make a reservation the week before the re-opening we were told that reservations were not being accepted yet. We then called the day before opening and received the same advice. We went on the second day of the re-opened restaurant and were, dismissively and rudely, told that there was no room until after Christmas. Contrary to this advice, there was no one in the restaurant — not a soul — and many of the tables were not set. The service at this new restaurant was not at all what we’ve come to expect from Gannon’s other jewels. We left wishing for the old Seawatch.
