Cafe o’Lei is open again at the Napili Shores location. They hope to have their liquor license by January. In the meantime, b.y.o.b. We have enjoyed dinner there twice. The first time I ordered the fabulous huge shortribs and my husband the ahi with tropical relish. Both were excellent. (I’m still dreaming about the ribs.) On our second visit, Mike ordered the french onion soup. Really really good. My linguine with clams had lots of clams and perfectly al dente pasta. I thought it needed more seasoning (like garlic) and was much improved with some lemon. The prices are more than reasonable. The service is good. Go –

We read a good review in your book and raced to Cafe O’le as it was getting late they list seating until 9:30. When we arrived ( Sunday)at 9:18 the host aksed us to wait unti he checked to see if we could be seated. He came back and said that they stop seating at 9:15 but that we shoukd try them again on Tuesday.
The resturant may be good but that performance was bush league.
