Leilani’s On The Beach
Leilani’s is a T S Restaurant (like sister restaurants Hula Grill, Kimo’s and Duke’s) with — of course — one of the best locations on the beach walk in Ka’anapali. Lava rock walls and wood beams soar through the two story restaurant, and the food is exactly what you might expect from a place with such a great view: only as good as it needs to be. T S Restaurants tend to deliver on views and service but not so much on creative dishes. This works for us when we’re looking at breakfast places or burgers for lunch, but not so much for fresh fish at dinner. If you stick with the beachside grill (downstairs), the prices go down and the value proposition goes up. Ka’anapali is designed for tourists, and it has more than its fair share of expensive restaurants serving average food to people who did not rent a car. This is certainly one of those restaurants.

My wife and I have been to Maui three times. We stay in the Kaanapali Beach area every time we come to the island and visit Leilani’s more than once during each visit. The ambience is so inviting and welcoming. To end your day by a good meal (and they all are, here) while you and your spouse relax listening to live music and enjoying the sunset over the ocean is a perfect time of enjoyment. Leilani’s on the beach is a tradition for our family. We will always consider it one of our top favorites.

Leilani’s is my favorite resturant in the Whaler’s Village area. It is similar to Hula Grill, but I like there menu options just a tad bit more and think their service is just a bit better. A perfect place to people watch, listen to some live music and watch the sunset.
