This is an amazing place. Hard to find if you come from the South end of the parking lot instead of the North end. The steak melted in your mouth. Every seafood item was wonderful. We got both the chocolate souffle and the banana crisp deserts, I actually enjoyed the banana the best. Service was great.

Over the many years we have been coming to Maui my wife has always wanted to have dinner at Roy’s and take part in their Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine. We finally made a reservation and so glad we did. We chuckled when the hostess seated us at our window table and had a great view of McDonalds across the parking lot. This hit our funny bone due to the fact we had breakfast that morning at Gannon’s new restaurant, formally the Seawatch located on the beautiful Wailea Golf Club with the fantastic green fairway running down to the beautiful blue pacific ocean—(How Lovely). Taking the window view out of the picture the remaining ambiance provided by the restaurant although a little loud/noisy was more than acceptable.
We started the evening by my wife ordering a “Island Girl” Margarita made with Cabo Wabo Tequila, Cointreau Orange Liqueur and fresh lime sour witch she noted was one of the best margaritas she has had and being the designated driver I settled for Iced Tea knowing I would have a glass of the wonderful German wine my wife selected from Roy’s great wine list to be delivered with our entrée.
We moved on to the appetizer’s and my wife ordered the Manila Clams in a wonderful white wine and parsley garlic broth and I ordered the Crunchy Golden Lobster Potstickers. We both shared and tasted each others appetizers with great enjoyment along with more than a few smiles back and forth across the table at each other knowing we had both made excellent choices.
On to the entrée, we both selected the Hawaiian Style Misoyaki Butter Fish on a bed of Boc Chow with a side of wonderful Vegetable Sushi Roll. We both noted the butter fish was so sweet, tender and rich tasting that it has to rate as one of our top five favorite fish meals we have ever had. We were so “Happy” an Island friend recommended this dish to us.
Before I forget I must say the service received from our server who was extremely knowledgeable from both the menu and wine list perspective and perfect timing in delivering all courses and server’s helper who kept our water glasses full and did not just refill my tea glass but delivered a fresh glass with extra lemon and a lot of ice as I originally was excellent-superior to say the least. Our server checked back with us about halve way through our entrée and suggested if were to order Roy’s famous Chocolate Souffle which takes about 20 minutes to prepare and to let her know. We were advised by friends that this was not a desert you would want to share so we took that advise and each of us ordered our own as suggested. We so enjoyed the delicate and lovely tasting desert that finished off a wonderful evening. Yummy Yummy Yummy so good for my tummy.
